Who are Castore?

Since its 2015 inception, Castore has emerged as a leader in high end British sportswear. The brand is dedicated to revolutionising the world of athletic apparel through their strategic use of advanced engineering techniques and innovative technical fabrics. With their diverse range of offerings, Castore caters to a wide spectrum of aspiring athletes of varying ages and genders.

Their collections cover everything from general training and running to football and even motorsports. Castore’s comprehensive brand positioning and product range ensures that men, women, and children can all enhance their athletic performance with the brand’s cutting-edge designs.

While much of Castore’s rise to success can be attributed to their high quality products, the British sports brand has also capitalised on strategic partnerships with prominent British athletes and sports teams. Some of their professional sport connections include tennis pro Andy Murray, Aston Villa football club, and England’s national cricket team.

These collaborations have cemented the brand’s reputation as a premium alternative to high street sportswear brands. In recent years, Castore has enjoyed expansion both within the UK and abroad with the opening of 12 standalone stores across England and Scotland, and the introduction of worldwide shipping through their website.

Origins

Castore was founded in Bebington by the visionary Beahon brothers, Tom and Phil. Situated a stone’s throw from the brothers’ hometown of Liverpool, Bebington served as the ideal location for the brothers to solidify their business strategy and develop their signature product features.

The brand officially launched in July 2015, when the Beahon brothers were only 22 and 25 years old. Using their backgrounds in finance and professional youth sports, Tom and Phil dove into their sportswear venture after identifying a gap in the market for high quality performance sportswear. Castore quickly rose to fame after debuting their AMC Andy Murray tennis label in 2019, a range that still remains one of the brand’s most popular collections.

As of 2023, Castore’s headquarters are located in Manchester. The brand’s presence is further enhanced with its flagship store on London’s Brompton Road. Despite their continued international growth, the brand continues to stay true to its British roots.

“It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.”
